SADQA CHARITY - REWARD

 SADQA CHARITY REWARD

(1) Charity generously compensated by Allah

Bukhari Volume 9, Book 97, Number 7495-7496:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle (s) said, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but will be the foremost on the Day of Resurrection." The narrators of this Hadith said: Allah said (to man), 'Spend (in charity), for then I will compensate you (generously).' "

(2) Charity saves from Hell even a good word

Bukhari Volume 9, Book 97, Number 7512:

Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim:

Allah's Apostle (s) said, "There will be none among you but his Lord will talk to him, and there will be no interpreter between him and Allah. He will look to his right and see nothing but his deeds which he has sent forward, and will look to his left and see nothing but his deeds which he has sent forward, and will look in front of him and see nothing but the (Hell) Fire facing him. So save yourself from the (Hell) Fire even with half a date (given in charity)." Al-A'mash said: 'Amr bin Murra said, Khaithama narrated the same and added, 'even with a good word.' "

(3) Charity expiation of minor sins

Bukhari Volume 8, Book 78, Number 6087:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

A man came to the Prophet (s) and said, "I have been ruined for I have had sexual relation with my wife in Ramadan (while I was fasting)" The Prophet (s) said (to him), "Manumit a slave." The man said, "I cannot afford that." The Prophet (s) said, "(Then) fast for two successive months continuously". The man said, "I cannot do that." The Prophet (s) said, "(Then) feed sixty poor persons." The man said, "I have nothing (to feed them with)." Then a big basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet (s). The Prophet (s) said, "Where is the questioner? Go and give this in charity." The man said, "(Shall I give this in charity) to a poorer person than l? By Allah, there is no family in between these two mountains (of Medina) who are poorer than we." The Prophet (s) then smiled till his premolar teeth became visible, and said, "Then (feed) your (family with it). [See Volume 3, Ahadith Nos. 1936, 1937]

(4) Charity how small carries great reward

Bukhari Volume 9, Book 97, Number 7430:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle (s) said, "If somebody gives in charity something equal to a date from his honestly earned money ----for nothing ascends to Allah except good---- then Allah will take it in His Right (Hand) and bring it up for its owner as anyone of you brings up a baby horse, till it becomes like a mountain."

Abu Huraira also said: The Prophet (s) said, "Nothing ascends to Allah except good." Whoever desires honor, then to Allah belongs the honor wholly.

“Whoever seeks honor should know that the honor wholly belongs to Allah. 20 Only the pure Word rises up to Him, and the righteous deed causes it to rise. 21 As for those who plot evil, 22 there is a severe torment for them, and their plotting shall itself perish.” (35:10)

Abu Talha was the richest man in Medina amongst the Ansar and Beeruha' (garden) was the most beloved of his property, and it was situated opposite the mosque (of the Prophet.). Allah's Apostle (s) used to enter it and drink from its sweet water. When the following Divine Verse were revealed: 'you will not attain righteousness till you spend in charity of the things you love' (3.93), Abu Talha got up in front of Allah's Apostle (s) and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Allah says in His Book, 'You will not attain righteousness unless you spend (in charity) that which you love,' and verily, the most beloved to me of my property is Beeruha (garden), so I give it in charity and hope for its reward from Allah. O Allah's Apostle! Spend it wherever you like." Allah's Apostle (s) appreciated that and said, "That is perishable wealth that is perishable wealth. I have heard what you have said; I suggest you to distribute it among your relatives." Abu Talha said, "I will do so, O Allah's Apostle (s)." So, Abu Talha distributed it among his relatives and cousins. The sub-narrator (Malik) said: The Prophet (s) said: "That is a profitable wealth," instead of "perishable wealth". (Also 2758)

how small – saves from Hell

Bukhari Volume 8, Book 81, Number 6539:

The Prophet then said, "(O people!) Save yourselves from the (Hell) Fire even if with one half of a date fruit (given in charity); if this is not available then; (save yourselves) by saying a good pleasant friendly word."
