Hadis 1 - explained in Youtube Lecure

SAVE TOMORROW -5

The only hope to have a better tomorrow is to educate our coming generations especially to let them have open minds an end to myopia eating at the delicate fiber of humanity.

We are starting a series of lectures for O level students on Youtube; this blog is also going to support this endeavor.

‘Religion is sincerity.’ We said: ‘To whom?’ The Prophet said: ‘To Allah, his Book, and his Messenger, the leaders of the Muslims and to their common people.’

HADIS.1. ‘Religion is sincerity; We said: ‘To whom?’ The Prophet(s) said: ‘To Allah. His Book (Kitab) His Messenger [not messenger-s],(Rassool)

a. (Paragraph 1)

Prophet(s) has given here the weltanschauung of Quranic concept of religion in this eloquent Hadis, a subtle balance between rights of Allah “Haqooq Allah” and rights of fellow beings, “Haqooq-al-Abad”. Prophet elucidates in this Hadis the true spirit of religion, its true significance and practical implication. Highlighting the crux of both its  individual and communal aspects. Thus the vital most teachings are manifest in the Main beliefs reminded here of cardinal value, i.e. Tuhid, the theme of Quran, well elaborated in Surah Al –Ikhlass. It also strengthens our firm belief that Quran is “Kalam Allah” (9:6), transferred from Divine Tablet, “Loh-e-Mahfooz” 85:22. Quran is continuation of all previous scriptures, referred as a protector confirming and guarding them all, called “Muhimina” (5:48) Being the last and final, carries complete guidance for mankind for all times to come. (2:2) Also reminding a belief of cardinal importance, the finality of Prophethood of Muhammad(s), the main part of “Iman”, faith of a Muslims, as Quran says, Prophet(s) is the “Seal of the prophets” (33:40), sent for the whole mankind, “Ka’afa-tun-Nass”; (34:28) this Hadis of vital importance also puts emphasis on the IMPORTANCE OF SINCERITY IN ISLAM, being a belief of a Muslim that Allah is closer to man than his jugular vain and knows the secrets of hearts. (50:16)

b. (PARAGRAPH 1)

[ First and the foremost action of a Muslim is visible in his practice how he must guard against shirk in all its manifestations, “as shirk is an unpardonable sin” (4:48) Furthermore another important practice visible is that we must not only read Quran, we must understand, imbibe and strictly mold our lives in accordance with each & every ordain of Quran. Besides it is incumbent upon Muslims to follow the last Prophet(s) because TRUE BELIEF is incomplete without belief in the FINALITY of the Prophet(s) of Allah. the leaders of the Muslim and to the common people.

a. (PARAGRAPH 2) Here starts the 2nd most important part of the teachings of this Hadis reminding  a belief of great significance, i.e. about obeying one in command as Quran ordains, “Obey Allah, obey the Prophet(s) and obey the one in command, (4:59) Hidden in this ordain is great wisdom guarantying peace. This Hadis also assures a panacea for peace, creating a subtle balance between the ruler and the ruled as in another Hadis Prophet(s) especially reminded one in command that you are answerable for people under your custody, “Rayaiah” (Mishkat)]

b. (PARAGRAPH 2)

[b.1. Practice visible is that obedience to the one having authority e.g. even a monitor in the class brings peace; the raison d’ etre of Islam. But one in command must not forget; even “Salah” is not acceptable to Allah if one has failed to complete “Haqoq-al-Abad” especially towards the weaker party, as elaborated in Surah Al-Maoon]

  1. This is high quality material and is assisting me in exam preparation. My only question for you is, though the answer you've written is very articulate, thoughtful and certified level 4, don't you think it's a tad bit long, especially if another hadith has to be fit in here and the time spared for the task is only 15 minutes?
